The hike up Mt. Cutler in North Cheyenne Cañon is another kid-friendly hike offering spectacular views! On the way up you can sneak of peek of Colorado Springs and also see a bird’s eye view of Seven Falls.
The trail up and down Mt. Cutler is approximately 2.2 miles round trip. Elevation gain is approximately 300 feet. The trail is not stroller friendly. There are some drop offs in some parts of the trail so make sure to have a hold on to smaller kids.
This is a great kid-friendly hike that is close to Colorado Springs and great to do for part of a day. We’ve loved all of our hikes so far in North Cheyenne Cañon to include Seven Bridges and the hike above Helen Hunt Falls.
Kids’ ages at time of hike: 6, 5, and 3. Not stroller friendly.
Parking can be a little tight- there are approximately 15 spots that are directly located at the Mt. Cutler trailhead. The weekends will be busier than the weekdays and if you’re up for an extra walk there is a small turn off about a quarter mile past the main parking lot that can possibly accommodate your car.
