The Pueblo Zoo is located in Pueblo, CO near the Pueblo City Park. The zoo is approximately 25 acres and contains 420 different animals.
Animals at the zoo include a lion, zebras, monkeys, peacocks, and most recently (January 2016) a baby lion cub.
There is also a small petting zoo where you can buy food and feed goats- this was where we spent most of our time.
We visited this zoo in March 2014 when our older boys were almost 3 and 16 months. I remember it being a very nice day and not crowded at all.
This zoo is very small and I think older kids would get bored easily. I am not sure if I would go now that my boys are older and they’re so used to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
It is a good option if you live in Pueblo or want a zoo that is not as crowded. The smaller size feels quaint and is perfect for little kids who want to run around.
